Amsterdam Trade Unions Museum will still be opened
|
 |
Set up in 1990 by a group of trade unions, Amsterdam Trade Unions Museum was about to be closed because of the limited number of visitors. However, amployer organizations have decided to help, and the museum will receive extra money to keep it open. Because of this it"s name will be changed to "Centrum voor arbeidsverhoudingen" (Centre for labour relationships). The museum is located in a building made by the architect Berlage, and is also named "de Burcht" (the Fortress). This is the name it will carry in the future. The extra money found (E 1.25 million) means the museum can at least be kept open for the next 5 years. |
