| This week in Torch Gallery (Amsterdam) began a new exhibition devoted to photography series by Ukrainian artist Sergey Bratkov. The last twenty years the engineer Sergey Bratkov was dedicated to video art, performance and photography. The most of his photos depict East-European social types. His new show “Collecti@n” presents different series of pictures entitled according to different heroic European avant-gardes. They constitute the result of a search and selection work of web material. A few words about gallery. Torch was founded in 1984 hand chills on one of the coolest, most laid back canals in Amsterdam. Photography, painting, sculpture, new media is just a few of the things that is shown in the gallery. Besides exhibitions in hand outside the gallery premises TORCH participates in all kinds of events / activities with their artists such as VJ/DJ activities & book/music/dvd publishing. |
