Chocolate Factory theme park to open in Amsterdam.

| Entrepreneurs and city officials said on last week that Amsterdam will get a theme park dedicated to chocolate and inspired by Roald Dahl s childrens book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. In Amsterdam near the central station a disused tram tunnel is to be transformed into the heart of a theme park devoted to chocolate. This construction is due to start next year and will be opening about 2009. And it will cost 20 million euros. This attraction will feature a chocolate fountain and a glass elevator, similar to the book. And also the attraction will produce small amounts of chocolate. So, visitors will have a chance to touch and see chocolate while it is made, in what will be the only chocolate factory in the Netherlands. |
